Russia’s six species of snow sheep await Ovis hunters. The Kamchatka snow sheep are logically found on the Kamchatka Peninsula while the rest (Koryak, Yakutia, Okhotsk, Kolyma, and Kharaulakh) are found in various regions on the Russian Federation mainland.
Distances are great between the various snow sheep territories and because helicopters are used to reach them, transportation costs are an important part of the total cost. Regardless, while the cost to hunt any of the snow sheep varies by species but they represent a strong bargain compared to North American sheep hunts.
Getting There: As with all hunts in Russia currently, the current array of economic sanctions affect air travel options into Russia. But our hunters travel to Moscow and take connecting flights either to Petropavlovsk on Kamchatka or various airports on the mainland.

For accommodations, various tented spike camps are located in productive territory. Some areas offer basic rustic cabins.
